Curator notes

  • Opened November 19, 2015 as Lockport's first post-Prohibition brewery, with a grand opening in January 2016.[1]
  • Founded by Kelly and Kevin Krupski — a former music teacher and a CPA — who got into brewing culture after a trip to Colorado.[2]
  • The building is new construction, not a converted historic space: roughly 17,000 square feet and 85,000 bricks, built to evoke an old-world beer hall.[1]
  • Overlooks a 5,000-square-foot production brewery with 15-, 30-, and 60-barrel tanks; the taproom keeps 8+ house beers on at a time.[1]
  • Head brewer Jason Crossett had brewed over 150 unique beers as of 2018.[2]
  • This is the original Lockport flagship — New York Beer Project has since expanded to Victor, NY and Orchard Park, NY, but this entry covers Lockport only.[6]
