Curator notes

  • Housed in a four-story commercial building constructed in 1841, which held a dressmaker's warehouse and a hardware store in the 1800s before later housing Mac Garry's restaurant and, from 1983, Garcia's Irish Pub.[2]
  • Reopened in its current form as Pearl Street Grill & Brewery in 1997; the first house-brewed beer was tapped on September 5, 1997, and it's billed as the oldest continuously operating all-grain brewery in Buffalo.[3]
  • Spans four floors plus a basement holding-tank brewery, with about nine bars under one roof by the venue's own description.[1]
  • Hosts live music and ticketed 21+ special events like "Unpopular Opinion Night"; also books corporate gatherings, happy-hour parties, and weddings.[1]
  • Free parking lot behind the building, plus several paid lots within a block; nearby KeyBank Center events can affect street parking availability.[4]
